It has taken me ages to actually do this, ya know the usual story...always have a million and one other things on the to-do list! But today, I finally took a few snaps of my brand new studio!
A few months ago we set about designing this new space, it was a bit of a major involving a draftsman (well draftslady actually), consents, builders, plasters, painters, electrician...you name it - we needed it! It kicked off in June and was nearing completion by the end of September. We sourced mainly local tradesmen and tried to support those that have supported my business as best as we could - gotta share the love around! Some were from the mighty Morrinsville, with a few travelling in from around the Waikato. All in all, I am pleased with the space and how it come together!
I shoot all my indoor portraitss here and hide all my props in my HUGE walk-in cupboard. It is lovely and cosy for those sweet newborn babies but still spacious enough to shoot full families here. It is nice to have my own space back again and I am forever greatful to a lovely friend and local Morrinsville business woman Katrina whom leant me her beauty therapy room whilst I was without a studio. Her page is Porcelain Beauty - you can find her on Facebook www.facebook.com/porcelainbeauty
I am yet to have an official 'open day' but it is on the cards...watch this space!
This is my new space....soft, beautiful light and most of all welcoming!
