I am looking forward to meeting your new baby very soon! For now, a little snippet of information before you arrive but above all else, the one thing to remember is that the session is all about baby, we will work together to ensure a happy, warm, content little bundle during your time here.
Where to go:
The studio is located at 8 Scotsman Valley Road, Tauwhare. We are 10 minutes from Morrinsville and 15 minutes from both Hamilton and Cambridge so really centrally located. It is a longish driveway and the entire property is lined with hedges so you can't see much from the road but there is of course a number 8 at our gate. If you have any problems finding us give me a call - 027 630 5467.
My purpose built studio is right off the driveway, those large glass doors are where you will be heading,
Baby prep:
If baby has had some awake time and a full feed prior to leaving home this will mean he/she ready to settle to sleep as soon as you arrive so we can make the most of your time here and get as many images as we can for you. If baby has been left to sleep for several hours prior to your arrival it often means we will have an alert, awake baby that isn't ready to sleep. Most of the newborn poses require a sleepy baby so this is what we aim for.
If baby is asleep from the car trip I will wrap over the clothing for the first set up so please dress baby lightly if possible.
Newborn Session FAQ:
How long will the session take?
The model call is for approx 1 - 1.5 hours, this is much shorter than a full newborn session which is why I am unable to guarantee any sibling and/or parent images for the model call session but you will definitely have gorgeous images of your wee one to treasure forever.
What will my baby wear?
I will wrap baby in my extensive collection of wraps so you don't need to worry about several outfits for your little one.
What else do I need to bring?
If you have a dummy/pacifier at home please bring this along, we may not even need it but if you have one it may come in handy during your session. A blanket or swaddle from home can also be helpful when settling baby to sleep.
Can I bring a support person or older siblings?
Yes you are more than welcome to bring along a support person/husband/partner/friend with you. Any other family members will need to keep the noise level to a minimum to allow baby to sleep peacefully and the student to concentrate as it will be a teaching space.
If you have any other queries please feel free to contact me - otherwise I will see you soon!
Cheers,
Emma
